STRUGGLING Wollongong have come up with a special ticket deal in the hope of attracting a big crowd to help spur them on against Gold Coast on Friday night.

With the Hawks (3-10) desperate to claw their way up the NBL ladder, they need all the support they can get at WIN Entertainment Centre.

So anyone purchasing a ticket for the battle with the Blaze can at the same time earn up to 50 per cent off tickets for next week's midweek battle with cellar dwellers Singapore.

Gold Coast coach Brendan Joyce's return - he spent 12 years with Wollongong before being controversially axed late last year - adds plenty of spice to the match.

The Hawks are hoping experienced skipper Mat Campbell will be back from an Achilles injury for the Blaze tussle.

"Hopefully the doctor gives me approval this week and I can suit up," Campbell said.

"I've felt a lot better than previous weeks so hopefully I get the okay."

Wollongong go into the match off the back of a five-game losing streak, their last win coming away to West Sydney a month ago.

The Hawks are also using the game to publicise next week's International Day of People with a Disability, with the Wollongong Jammers scheduled to take part in a half-time demonstration.

Tickets are available through Ticketek.
